No court today. The lawyers and judge all sport highly suspicious tans, leading me to believe that Friday is always optional in the summer.
Presumably, the 20 or so lawyers for the insurance companies are hammering out the settlement today. But, you know, maybe not (see above).
I find this supremely irritating, especially considering that The Dream House has gone to contract with a kickout. If we can make an offer that is better than the current buyers' before the buyers sell their own house, the seller will go with us.
GAH!

I'm starting to hyperventilate on your behalf just thinking about The Dream House.
And actually, it's less disconcerting to think of the judge and lawyers on the golf course than it is to think of them in one of those spray-on tan places.

Friday is indeed optional. Once I was going to be a juror on a capital murder case and the judge passed out a schedule that said NO COURT ON FRIDAYS. Then I got pregnant and had a good excuse to get out of months of stressful jury duty. yay.

God Madge, I've got fingers and toes crossed that you and Tug get some excellent news this week. It really does seem that it's in the best interest of the other parties to settle. What the hell are they doing?!
