When we called Tugboat's grandmother to tell her we'd gotten engaged, she congratulated us profusely, but she also said, "It's not always rosy, baby." Those sage words have gotten us through some very rough times.
By all accounts, she and her husband, Tugboat's grandfather, were a true love match. I always thought of them as an example of how I hope our marriage fares.
Today she rejoined her beloved husband.
We'll miss you, Grandma Curl.

godspeed, grandma tugboat! xo

My Grandmother left us today. She will be especially missed by me, but also two daughters, three sisters, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was also loved and cherished by many others she had come to know in her 88 years. She remained a class act until the end. Her grace, warmth and love will always be remembered.
May she rest in peace.

That is probably the best advice I've ever heard - and some of the most appropriate you've had given to you, I bet you reckon. My condolences to all of you.
